Certificates and Environment
Kolding is deeply committed to environmental responsibility, circular economy principles, and sustainability, all of which are central to our focus and values. As part of our dedication to these principles, we have made significant investments in renewable energy sources. One notable achievement is our Solar Power Plant, a clean energy source to meet a substantial portion of our energy requirements. Implementing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard in 2007 underscores our unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility. This internationally recognized standard has significantly influenced how we operate and conduct our business.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond our internal operations; it extends to our products and services, where we prioritize eco-friendly materials and manufacturing processes. Our strategic decision to purchase only forgings from recycled steel melted in Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) reflects our commitment to the circular economy. This approach reduces the environmental impact associated with mining and virgin steel production, lessening our carbon emissions and resource consumption. Furthermore, our dedication to the “Repair and Revitalization” approach strengthens our sustainability goals. Rather than making entirely new products, we focus on refurbishing and reconditioning worn-out components. This aligns perfectly with circular economy principles, extending product lifespans and reducing the need for new manufacturing processes. By revitalizing existing equipment, we not only cut down on waste but also decrease emissions tied to producing entirely new replacements.
